STCW

Regulation II/2 of STCW Convention, Section II/2 of STCW Code. 

Objectives

A trainee successfully completing the course and passing the examination will be able to make efficient and effective use of radar as a navigational aid. Ability to respond to, co-ordinate and execute a SAR operations, to plan, organize and manage a bridge team, making use of all navigational data, will also be achieved.  

Target group  

The course is aimed at Chief Officers and Masters.  

Entry standards 

The candidates should be holders of certificates satisfying the requirements of Regulation II/1 of the STCW Convention as officer of navigational watch and completed the sea service needed for certification as master or chief mate.

IMO Model Course 1.08 “Radar, ARPA, Bridge Teamwork and Search and Rescue”.

Full course: 42 hours / 5 days

Refresh course: 20 hours / 2,5 days
